Sharon is one of the few crypto tax advisors in the U.S. who can genuinely claim both sides of this work. She’s been a crypto investor since 2017 — she understands cold storage, self-custody, DeFi, and staking because she’s lived it.

She’s also been a CPA for over 20 years, including as a senior tax manager at a Big 4 firm. She holds an MS in Accounting — Tax Consulting degree from the University of Virginia. She also has an MBA degree and holds the Certified Cryptocurrency Expert (CCE) designation. She teaches continuing professional education to other CPAs on digital asset taxation.

Sharon founded Crypto Tax Advisors in 2018 and co-founded Polygon Advisory Group (DBA Chainwise CPA) in 2020. She has worked with over a thousand crypto investors, web3 business founders and blockchain companies throughout the years.
